Momentum has officially opened the application for our new Upward leadership program, targeted to early-career women with two to seven years of professional experience. We have worked for over a year with board members, Momentum alumnae, HR professionals, and area business leaders to solicit ideas for the new program. Based on the feedback so far, we have a winner! Upward targets emerging women leaders at a critical juncture in their careers. Our program gives them the skills, support, and network they need to navigate their leadership path.
We expect the number of applications to far exceed the number of participants we can take (sixty). We want to make this inaugural class absolutely stellar, so please help us spread the word! Momentum will apply the same standards for innovation and excellence to the Upward program that we have for our Executive Leadership program. The curriculum will cover topics such as leadership fundamentals, peer to leader transition, career ownership, goal setting & prioritization, among others. The classes will meet for a half day, once a month, from January to October 2019. The tuition cost is $2,000, which is generally paid in part or in full by the person’s company.
We are looking for your emerging leaders who meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate a high degree of career ownership
- Are self-motivated and capable of motivating others
- Show initiative in team projects
- Possess strong people skills
- Appreciate diversity
