FINANCE: Acts as financial officer and advisor to chapter board of directors. Responsible for all chapter financial transactions, including submitting membership dues. Prepares reports and communicates key financial data to the Board and membership, as appropriate. Ensures appropriate level of cash reserves is maintained. Ensures forms and information with are appropriately filed with IRS, SHRM and other required entities.
Tracy Neeley | Member Services
MEMBERSHIP: Manages the membership function to successfully achieve an increase in new and retained chapter memberships. Develops and implements ongoing campaigns to attract new members. Welcomes new members into the chapter. Tracks and monitors the new member experience. Monitors participation of current members, pending membership expirations and lapsed memberships. Recommends solutions and takes action to preserve memberships.

CERTIFICATION: Manages all aspects of certification classes including instructor recruitment. Encourages members to become certified and recertified. Increases the number of chapter members who are certified HR Professionals. Promotes events with SHRM and HRCI recertification credits.

Plans and encourages chapter involvement and activities impacting the workforce readiness arena. LEGISLATIVE: Plans and implements annual Legislative Update workshop. Coordinates with ALSHRM Legislative Director, an annual visit to The Hill, and reports results to membership. Monitors and evaluates on a continuing basis pending legislative, regulatory and legal action at the federal, state, and local level that may have an impact on the management of human resources. Periodically presents key changes or important to know information to membership.

COMMUNICATIONS: Responsible for promoting BSHRM brand, creating monthly newsletter, managing and maintaining the website and social media pages. Designs promotion and other materials for chapter activities.

SPONSORSHIP: Identifies and acquires sponsors for BSHRM meetings and events in return for an opportunity to promote their product or service to members. Builds relationships and satisfaction among current and potentially new sponsors.
