The Director of Compensation and Benefits will provide management and leadership support in the following functional areas: Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Leave Administration, Position Control, Regulatory, Record Keeping and Retention, Wellness, ADA, and Worker’s Compensation. Seeking a seasoned manager with a track record of success managing functional areas. Solid understanding of compensation, benefits and payroll. Prefer 10 years progressive responsibility in compensation and benefits management, 7 years required. Bachelor’s degree required. Must be a critical thinker who demonstrates analytical skills and advanced Excel skills. Healthcare and Ultipro experience a plus. VIVA’s HR team requires a high level of integrity, with the ability to develop strong employee relationships and the desire to work in a team environment.
REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s Degree • Experienced manager with 7 years progressive responsibility in compensation and benefits analysis/design • In-depth knowledge of compensation principles and practices and in-depth knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to compensation such as FLSA, Wage and Hour, etc. • Must demonstrate analytical skills and advanced Excel skills • Must demonstrate a track record of success managing compensation and benefits analysis and administration • Ability to plan and organize the work of others; ability to delegate; ability to manage project/activity deadlines of self and others • Solid understanding of payroll and benefits processes and life‐cycle through hands‐on experience • Critical thinking skills with the ability to research complex issues, develop recommendations, and implement solutions • Ability to make decisions with minimal supervision • Knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn and develop proficiency with other software packages • Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by strong writing and editing abilities, and outstanding presentation skills including the ability to communicate compassionately with individuals and to speak professionally in public and in front of groups • High level of integrity, with the ability to develop strong employee relationships and the desire to work in a team environment PREFERRED: • 10 years management experience in payroll, compensation, and benefits analysis/design • PHR/SPHR or other applicable industry recognized license • Expert knowledge of benchmark compensation surveys and market data in healthcare
