The Manager, IT Training is responsible for management and oversight of the development and training life cycle, including needs analysis, training strategy and development and delivery of training programs and tools for professionals within the UAB IT department. This role interacts with all levels of employees, managers and leadership in the planning and delivery of programs and leads the analysis of current skills to identify skill gaps and works to prioritize skills training and development imperatives. The Manager will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.
